Dear Mike,

I enjoyed my visit to CMU very much, and became interested in several people's
work (including yours). I wish we'd had more time to discuss it.

No doubt you know I've accepted an asst. professorship.
I'm eagerly looking forward to coming there in September.
Hopefully we can have some meaty discussions about AI and CS, without getting
side-tracked into discussing Science Fiction!

My wife and I will probably be in Pittsburgh in late May or June, to look for
housing. We'll stop by and say hi then.

In the meantime, if you notice anything interesting about "maximally-composite"
numbers, drop me a note.
I'm enclosing a couple pages on the idea of characterizing such numbers.
It's still in the rough stages, but I recall you were interested in it.
I warn you, at the moment it's more free association than rigorous mathematics.

See you this summer.
